Welcome!

Pensacola Talent Show is Pensacola's premier, "Competitive Arts Program". We plan and organize competitions in The Arts, that are open to the public. People of all ages are welcome to register for our events and compete for titles and prizes.

"Royal Ribbon Dancers" is Pensacola Talent Show's own "house" performance group. As a member of the "Royal Ribbon Dancers", you will have the opportunity to perform at any, or all, Pensacola Talent Show events. We also hope to include other fun opportunities, such as parades and arts festivals, in the future.

"Royal Ribbon Dancers" lessons are, and will always be, free. We do ask that you purchase your own ribbon wand. The cost for a ribbon wand is $15.00. Please never let any costs deter you from participating, however. We always have ways to help you raise money -- all you have to do is ask!

Participants are never under any obligation to perform. You may come to as many lessons as you like, and will never be required to pay any additional costs after purchasing your ibbon wand. However, if you decide to perform, there are some additional costs to be aware of.

Members will need to purchase a uniform. Carolyn Baker is our seamstress. Cost TBA.

All boys and girls will need:

black practice shorts

black ballet slippers

black tights

Girls will also need: black bloomers

Please do not purchase any of the items above until notified.

Future costs may include: carrying case (for ribbon wands, etc.) black parade shoes (which you will only need to purchase if you are planning on participating in parades); sweats and/or jackets; and a seperate, fancier black & white uniform (which, you will only need to purchase if you would like to perform at our Black & White Parties). We will also be taking group photographs in the future, and you will be able to purchase the package of your choice.

We will be discussing ways to raise money for our group to help offset some of these costs.

"Royal Ribbon Dancers" will meet once a week, for a one hour practice. As our first event draws closer, we may need to meet more often. Please remember that, although our lessons are free, if you are planning to perform, we ask that you try to make it to as many practices as possible. Members may be asked to wait until the next event to perform if they do not know the routine.

Besides our practices, we will be planning various, optional activities, such as pizza parties, so our group may relax and bond.

"Royal Ribbon Dancers" are a part of, and represent, Pensacola Talent Show. You will become role models in our community. We ask that you are on your best behavior while in uniform.
